Today's Workout

I was dressed and ready to go to the gym.  I walked out the door and headed to car and remember that I left my workout watch.  I then came back and decided that I didn't have enough time to get to the gym and get the workout in that I wanted to get in.  I had to be at work for a short presentation, only to get there and not need to be there.  So I left work and made it to the gym before the rush.  I got some cardio in and some circuit training.  I was doing the circuit alone for the first round and then all of a sudden people wanted to use the equipment.  It drove me crazy so I went and did some abs and returned to my cardio.

Good start to the day

I started the day off with a healthy breakfast (an apple and a chocolate mocha Fiber One bar). It was an amazing start to a new day. The goal is still 50 pounds by May 1st. I then went to the gym and did some time on the treadmill, I actually did a little jogging. I also did some circuit training but got frustrated because people all of a sudden wanted to use the circuit, there was nobody using it when I started. I need to include some abs into my training and I think that I will be a little happier with my workout. The challenge will be to see what I eat when I get to work, it's the hardest part of my day.

At work...

It MLK Day and I am working the Ice Rink at MacArthur Mall today.  Business isn't to bad but I am bored out of my mind so I am surfing through some decorating blogs taking ideas that I love and posting them on my blog so I don't have to search for them later.

This first idea is using chalkboard paint, as a former teacher I love the idea of having a chalkboard in the house.  When I have my house I may do one in each room, although that might over do it.

I also love these ideas.  Use a throw as a table runner (BHG.com) or use a throw blanket to decorate a chair, this one shows a Chenile blanket (MidwestLiving.com).

More decor and things to do

As I continue to surf different blogs I see more things that I want.

I want to make this in purple and silver/white.  I think this would be amazing on my door but torquise is not my color.  I think a beautiful color with either to white or maybe silver.

These will be made in purple and silver for next years Christmas decor.  I love these!!!

There are two things I love in this picture.  The first being the vase with the postcards, the Young House Love blog stated that they sent themselves a postcard when they were on vacation and placed them in the vase when they received them.  They also framed keys from places they have lived before, cute idea.

The Young House Love also blogged about placing their memories in jars.  Each jar is labeled with where they visited.  Each jar contained keepsakes from the trips that were made and were displayed on a shelf.

I love this idea with corks, as a candle consultant and a bartender, I can't wait to surround a great smelling candle with wine corks.
Enough surfing for one night.

When I have a house....

As I have been reading other blogs I have seen some amazing things about peoples homes.  I found a couple of things that I want.  I am saving my ideas on my blog so I don't have to search for these things again.

This is the most beautiful shelving I have seen in a long time and would love to have this either in a bathroom or my PLAY room.  I can just see my scrapbook materials stacked on here.  I can also see towels wrapped along with ribbon wrapped around them.  The only issue I am having with it is the color I don't know if I could handle the gold.

I love to have pictures on my walls, every place that I have rented as charged me for the holes in the walls.  I don't think that you can call a home "HOME" unless you add your own touch.  This is how I would like to begin my photo wall but I think it would be pictures of family and friends.  Definately in the PLAY (aka scrap) room and it could also be done in the living room around my giant clock.
